Critiqueing into the deep of a Commentary

Upon looking about many different commentaries and editorials, I finally stumbled upon this on statesman.com, Green: Tuition law helps Texas economy because it had to do with secondary education for immigrants.
Joshua Green is a Bloomberg Businessweek's national correspondent, along with his column being in the The Boston Globe. The commentary was intended to audience of Republican supporters who opposed some of the choices that Rick Perry has made that are under fire at the moment. The argument that Green was making was for the 2001 law he signed that allowed many illegal immigrants to go to college and higher education was a good thing that Rick Perry did even though he is getting hell from his own party. Green backs up this claim by saying that having a higher education for immigrants allows helping the Texas economy grow. He quotes the Center for Public Policy Priorities, which is a Texas think tank, on how the median hourly wage of a Texas worker with bachelors or higher is almost double with only high school diploma, and three times as much with someone who didn't finish high school.  With all this money, Green says that Texas could overcome its shortfall of $27 billion dollar budget. With this logic in mind, Green thinks that even though Perry is getting hell for this law he passed and defending it wasn't wrong of him because when it come to the Texas economy the law his helping it grow and not hindering, like most people and Republicans believe it is. The logic of this defense is further supported because it is know that Texas is the home to more than 1 million illegal immigrants and with all those people getting education and making three times as much as a person without a high school diploma, means there will be a huge boost in the Texas economy. Just think 1 million immigrants times three times as much money of a non-high school graduate, that's $23,400,000 an hour.
With that much of a jump in money, it’s hard not to help defend Rick Perry trying to boost the Texas economy by signing that law in 2001.
